Northeast Mountain Guiding

Northeast Mountain Guiding was started by Joseph Vulpis and launched its services in January of 2009 and grew at a rapid rate. 

We provide premium outdoor education and professional services to outdoor enthusiasts interested in experiencing everything the great wilderness has to offer!  We also offer professional level training for aspiring guides in the rock and mountain leader disciplines.

As of August 2010 we are one of the largest and busiest guiding outfits in the Eastern United States running more trips and courses than any other guide service in the Southeast, Northeast or Mid-Atlantic region.  NMG employs 30+ full time guides/instructors and close to 50 per-diem guides/instructors. We are the only guide service in New Jersey, New York and North Carolina that employs such a large number of full time guides.  More than double our competitors.

We are the only Professional Climbing Guides Institute course provider in the Southeast region which are instructed by Paul Curran and David Wolff.  We are also the only Professional Hiking Guides Association full course provider in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.  We strive for excellence and offer some of the best courses you'll find in the outdoor education industry!

Our main purpose and goal is to introduce people to the outdoors in a friendly and safe setting.  Our trips are well planned and meet the clients goals and needs.  We practice 'Leave No Trace' ethics and teach our clients how to protect, respect and preserve the wilderness environment.
