We offer guided wilderness trips, treks, professional training, instructional courses, expeditions and tours in many US states and in several countries around the world. NMG is the premiere source for rock climbing and backpacking instruction in the Eastern United States.

We look forward to introducing you to all that the wilderness has to offer! Our US guides have extensive experience in various regions of the United States and our international guides are experts in their region or country.

Private guiding up to groups of 24 people are available. We operate year-round, some conditions apply for Vermont and Massachusetts between December 1st and March 31st.

Join a volunteer Trail crew (click the above link) and spend a week or more helping to build and protect the Appalachian National. No previous trail experience is necessary - just a desire to work hard, live in the backcountry and have a great time among friends.
